"Would recommend without hesitation"

My boyfriend and I stayed here for four nights in June 2011. It was the second time we booked a Madrid apartment through Homesfortravellers and once again, we had absolutely no complaints.

Checking in and out was straighforward, the staff were friendly and helpful. We paid the damage deposit by credit card and this was refunded when we left. The building that the apartment is in was nice - marbled entrance, plants, two lifts; the usual.

The studio apartment is a decent size for two, light and airy, with air-con and blackout blinds. It was clean and well presented. The bathroom was perfectly adequate. The kitchen was a little small but we only used it for pouring pre-dinner drinks!

Four people staying in the apartment would be more of a squeeze and the futon didn’t look particularly comfortable (or big), but would be fine for one or two nights if travelling on a budget.

The terrace was awesome; a huge suntrap with table & chairs and lounge furniture. It was fairly private but was overlooked by a couple of apartments in another building.

The square below was busy but the noise didn’t make it into the apartment when the door was closed. The square housed a Cafe y Tapas (good value, chain), a frozen yoghurt place, a Starbucks and a tapas restaurant called Lateral. The food, service and ambience at Lateral were great.
