"Great value with some drawbacks"

The staff was helpful. The apartment was as described and in great condition. The building was very secure, clean, and friendly. A hostel was next door, which meant we had a helpful neighbor, but also had people coming and going at all hours (a bit noisy at times). Bring earplugs for sure!

The location was very convenient, though the prostitutes on the corner were a surprise. The apartment is down the street from a popular student square which was great when we wanted pizza and cheap sangria, but a little noisy. Metro, sights, groceries, corner shops, great restaurants and bars, and shopping are all very nearby. I would definitely stay here again (I’m from a big city, so I am used to urban surroundings).

Why didn’t they just put a fan in the apartment!?!?!? The loft bed was unbearably hot day and night because it is in an alcove far from the A/C, which meant it never cooled off. The air did not circulate at all. We asked for a fan, but none was ever brought (this would have easily fixed the problem, by moving air around). If we left the A/C on, it would freeze up, drip a lot of water (it caused art on a shelf to fall), and then have to be shut off for quite a while. With 4 of us staying there, we had no alternative but to sleep in the heat. Once it was just two of us, we slept on the sofa bed and the temperature was fine. If you want to use both the loft and the sofa bed, insist that they bring you a fan as soon as you get there.

The kitchen was small but serviceable, with the usual pots and pans and cutlery and things. The w/c was also fine (shower, no tub). The dining/living room was spacious and lovely to relax in. The balconies were small but charming for cooling off at night, or drying clothes in the day.
