The area Surrounding the Apartment La Plaza del dos de Mayo is situated right in the neuralgic centre of the District of Malasaña, one of the most attractive neighbourhoods of the city, with its young atmosphere and the great fashionable variety of the premises and stores that surround it. Comparable to Tribeca in New York or Nothing Hill in London. In addition to being a very safe zone its very well communicated by public transportation with all the points of the superb city, by many bus lines or by the Madrid underground (Bilbao Station). Five minutes walking from Fuencarral street, a long avenue that arrives to the Gran Vía which in all its extension is filled with cinemas in its beginning, restaurants and different stores jammed with diverse and interesting people. The District of Malasaña borders on the District of Chueca very fashionable in the city where it is possible to get in 10 minutes walking. Malasaña, as it is called the area, is full of restaurants, tapas bar, theatres, shops, supermarkets, museums and cinemas, which allows you to really feel the real Madrid, which is one of the most interesting cities in Europe. It’s a very lively area with trendy, minimalist restaurants in Fuencarral street, an ample selection of late night bars and other. If you are partial to a bit of shopping, check out Fuencarral and Hortaleza streets. The area is very well connected by public transport to the rest of the city, with Tribunal, Bilbao and San Bernardo stations a few metres away from the apartment.
